On May 3, 2025, Professor Xu Kecheng, founder of Guangzhou Fuda Cancer Hospital, together with his wife Professor Zhong Jiayan, led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to visit Jababeka, Indonesia's largest industrial park, and held discussions with Setiawan Djody, founder of Jababeka Group, on jointly building the Jababeka Medical City and the Presidential University School of Medicine. Xu Kecheng is a leading figure in minimally invasive cancer treatment, while Zhong Jiayan has long promoted China-Indonesia exchanges and proposed a "Medical + Education + Industry" cooperation model, including plans to establish a Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis and treatment center. The Jababeka industrial park is large-scale and highly contributive, but the high-end specialty services of the medical city need improvement. This cooperation will enhance capabilities in oncology and other specialties, and plans an international medical tourism zone. This cooperation marks significant progress in the "Health Silk Road" between China and Indonesia. Fudah Hospital plans to replicate this model in Southeast Asia using this as a foothold, integrating Chinese medical technology with the Indonesian market, while the Jababeka Group hopes to become the "Singapore of Southeast Asia" through this initiative, injecting new momentum into regional development.
