Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry

The Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Indonesian: Perkumpulan Pengusaha Indonesia Tionghoa, English: INDONESIAN CHINESE ENTREPRENEUR ASSOCIATION) is a non-profit, nationwide Chinese business association registered under Indonesian laws and regulations. It enjoys a good reputation and wide social influence among Indonesian business associations and Chinese community organizations.
The Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce (ICCCI) was established in 2001 under the initiative of its founders, Mr. Yang Keling and Mr. Chen Dajiang. The Chamber is headquartered in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, and has four branches in East Java, West Java, Central Java, Bali and East and West Nusa Tenggara. The Chamber's member companies are mainly involved in manufacturing, mining, forestry, construction, banking, insurance, real estate, textiles, foodstuffs, import and export trade, retailing, ICT, logistics supply chain, etc. In March 2017, SCCCI set up a Youth Division for the new generation of entrepreneurial members, which regularly organizes seminars and lectures on special topics, and provides professional interpretation of government policies and professional advice to the directors of the Youth Division in a timely manner. It organizes regular seminars and lectures to provide professional interpretation of government policies and professional information to enhance exchanges and discussions among the members of the Youth Division.
Since its establishment, SCCCI has always adhered to its founding principle of "uniting Chinese enterprises and promoting Indonesia's economic development", and has adopted an open attitude of "seeking common ground while accommodating differences". Relying on the platform of the Chamber and giving full play to the professional expertise of its members, the Chamber has actively participated in the economic and social construction of Indonesia, and has promoted and facilitated the exchanges and cooperation between Indonesian Chinese business enterprises and Chinese entrepreneurs, and Chinese business associations and enterprises of other countries in the world with practical actions.
In September 2015, the 13th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention (WCEC) was successfully organized by the Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCCI) in Bali, with the theme of "Integrating Chinese Businesses - Winning Together in Indonesia", and more than 3,000 Chinese entrepreneurs from all over the world participated in the convention. The conference was highly valued by the Indonesian government, with the fifth President of Indonesia, Mrs. Megawati, the Minister of People's Republic of China, Mr. Zukifiri Hassan, President Joko Widodo's Special Envoy, Mr. Luhut, the Minister of Trade, Mr. Thomas Lembong, and the Minister of Transportation, Mr. Ignatius Jonan, among other ministers, attending the conference and delivering speeches at the keynote forums, sub-forums, and other events.
In order to better serve its members and carry out its day-to-day business, in 2020, under the initiative of President Kee Hui Kee, the Chamber purchased a permanent clubhouse on the 57th floor of the Sahid Sudirman Center building in downtown Jakarta, and in January 2022, the Chamber will move into the new office. The SCCCI has become an important platform for economic and trade exchanges and business cooperation between Indonesia and other countries, and plays an important role in promoting economic and trade cooperation and social and cultural exchanges between Indonesia and China, as well as between Indonesia and ASEAN and many other countries in the world.
