A delegation from Indonesian energy leader PT Ares Perkasa Indonesia (PT API) recently visited China and signed a strategic cooperation memorandum of understanding with TCL Solar. The two parties will jointly form a tripartite consortium with Danantara Indonesia, Indonesia's national sovereign investment institution, to participate in the bidding and development of large-scale new energy projects in Indonesia. Following the signing, the Indonesian delegation traveled to Inner Mongolia to visit TCL Zhonghuan's Inner Mongolia Smart Industrial Park, gaining firsthand insight into its vertically integrated photovoltaic manufacturing capabilities and consolidating the foundation for long-term in-depth cooperation. As a core clean energy market in Southeast Asia, Indonesia plans to achieve 100GW of installed PV capacity by 2029, offering vast market growth potential. PT API, with its deep roots in the local energy industry and优质 government and enterprise resources, can smoothly connect with Danantara, Indonesia's state electricity company PLN, and various investors, making it a key local partner for TCL Solar's expansion into the Indonesian market.

During the inspection at the Inner Mongolia Industrial Park, the delegation visited workshops for monocrystalline ingot pulling, silicon wafer slicing, and BC high-efficiency module packaging, observing the entire automated production process from silicon rods to PV modules. The delegation focused on the performance of BC modules adapted to tropical high-temperature and high-humidity environments, and conducted in-depth research on quality control standards, low-carbon production processes, and delivery capabilities for large-volume overseas orders. The Indonesian delegation highly praised TCL Zhonghuan's complete vertical industry chain, highly automated production lines, and the advantages of N-type BC modules adapted to Indonesia's local climate. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as TKDN local manufacturing, module selection for tropical power plants, overseas supply guarantees, and long-term technical cooperation, clarifying the direction for subsequent project advancement. This cooperation innovatively establishes a model combining "Chinese PV manufacturer + local energy leader + national sovereign investment platform." TCL Solar provides G12 large-size BC high-efficiency modules, core technology, and large-scale delivery capabilities; PT API leverages its local resource advantages to unlock all key channels.

The tripartite consortium will jointly develop ground-mounted PV and PV-storage integrated projects, while also exploring local manufacturing solutions to meet Indonesia's TKDN industrial policy and support Indonesia's clean energy transition. BC back-contact PV technology has more than 40 years of R&D heritage. In 2025, SunPower was integrated into TCL's new energy division, combining technology patents with smart manufacturing advantages. Previously, TCL Solar secured a 720MW large-scale BC PV power plant project in Australia. The implementation of this tripartite cooperation in Indonesia marks the official entry of TCL Solar's high-efficiency BC technology into national-level new energy projects in Southeast Asia. Looking ahead, TCL Solar will continue to leverage its integrated industry chain advantages, working with Indonesian partners to advance diversified businesses such as module supply, local manufacturing, and joint development of large-scale PV projects, delivering Chinese PV smart manufacturing solutions and helping Southeast Asia accelerate its low-carbon development goals.
