In 2023, President Xi Jinping proposed the Global Civilization Initiative, advocating respect for the diversity of world civilizations and promoting the common values of all humanity, which was warmly welcomed by the international community including Indonesia. After more than a year of preparation, the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, in cooperation with the Istiqlal Mosque in Indonesia, one of the largest mosques in the world, today officially launched the "China Space". The two sides will work together to hold a variety of cultural activities here. Next year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Indonesia. The Chinese Embassy is willing to take this opportunity, together with the Istiqlal Mosque and all sectors in Indonesia, to build the "China Space" into a space of inclusiveness, sharing, and openness, and to make new contributions to further promoting cultural, religious, educational exchanges and cooperation between China and Indonesia.
