The Ministry of Industry will coordinate with other ministries and agencies on the continuation of electric vehicle purchase subsidies. The Ministry stated that it is currently unable to determine when the subsidy will be reinstated, and the amount and scheme will be adjusted based on the national fiscal situation. The previous subsidy was relatively effective in boosting EV sales. However, the Deputy Minister of Industry stated that the subsidy policy is still under discussion, but due to the reciprocal tariff policy of U.S. President Trump, relevant authorities must prioritize negotiations with the U.S., leading to delays in discussions on other policies, including EV subsidies.
