Geely New Energy Vehicle Successfully Trial-Produced in Indonesia

Geely Automobile's internationalized new energy strategy has reached an important milestone with the successful trial production of the first Geely International EX5 at its plant in Purwakarta, Indonesia, laying the foundation for mass production in the third quarter of 2025, with an annual production capacity expected to reach 20,000 units.In January this year, Geely announced its entry into the Indonesian market, joining hands with PT Handal Indonesia Motor to promote localized production. In the next three years, Geely plans to put into production 5-7 diversified models in Indonesia, and the plant will become a strategic hub in ASEAN. The EX5 has been favored by Indonesian consumers since its pre-sale, with 1,000 units delivered in April. Geely has set up 15 authorized dealer stores in Indonesia and plans to expand to 100 in the next three years. As the mass production of the Indonesia plant approaches, Geely will improve the overseas systematic capacity building, build a complete industrial chain, improve the international operation efficiency, lead the green and intelligent transformation of the regional automobile industry, and demonstrate the strength of the global brand.
