Indonesia is the second largest country in the world in terms of tin reserves (after Australia) and tin production (after China).As of the end of 2024, there were 643 million tons of tin ore reserves, equivalent to 1.43 million tons of tin metal reserves. Total tin ore resources of 827 million tons, equivalent to 2.53 million tons of tin metal resources.Indonesia's tin metal production in 2024 was 39,814 tons, with data from 200 relevant mining licenses (IUP/IUPK/KK/IPR) covering mines throughout Indonesia.China's tin production in 2022 was 95,000 tons, with reserves of 720,000 tons. Australia's tin production of 9,700 tons and reserves of 9.57 million tons.
