China's Wuling Motors has become the first Chinese automaker to establish a complete production chain in Indonesia, with its 60-hectare factory in Cikarang, West Java, operating since 2017. It has cumulatively produced 178,366 vehicles, covering traditional fuel vehicles, hybrid, and pure electric models.
The four core workshops include: Press Shop for metal component forming, Body Shop for body welding, Paint Shop using advanced spraying technology, and General Assembly Shop (GA Shop) equipped with quality inspection systems.
Its product lineup includes fuel vehicles such as the Confero, Cortez, and Almaz series, new energy vehicles like the Air ev pure electric series and Almaz hybrid series, as well as commercial vehicles like the Mitra EV logistics vehicle (already supplied to Indonesian Post).
Currently, the brand's localization rate is 40%. In 2024, it built Indonesia's first local EV battery assembly line. By May 2025, it achieved cumulative production of 40,000 pure electric vehicles, with exports covering ASEAN and other international markets.
Wuling Indonesia's president stated that the 8 years of development achievements are thanks to the support of the Indonesian government and the trust of 160,000 users, and the factory will continue to drive the upgrade of Indonesia's automotive industry.
