印尼政府计划明年新增6个经济特区（KEK），届时全国KEK总数将达31个。全国经济特区委员会代理秘书长日前表示，新KEK将由总统普拉博沃亲自公布，因此暂不透露具体位置。

他仅说明新KEK分布在爪哇、加里曼丹和苏拉威西，产业类型多样，包括煤炭深加工、铝加工、石化以及电动汽车等。他透露这些新KEK已有投资者，设立KEK的主要前提之一是开发者须能引入“锚定投资者”（anchor investor），这是开发和开放KEK的关键条件The
