The Vice Chairman of Sinar Mas Group recently led a delegation to visit iFLYTEK, with iFLYTEK's Chairman accompanying the discussions. Both parties' subsidiaries, PT DSST Mas Gemilang (DSST) and iFLYTEK, officially signed a strategic cooperation and joint venture framework agreement to leverage iFLYTEK's AI technology to drive digitalization and intelligent upgrading of Indonesia's core industries. Sinar Mas Group is a large diversified conglomerate in Indonesia, with businesses spanning seven major sectors: pulp and paper, palm oil, real estate, finance, telecommunications, energy, and healthcare. This signing is a key step toward tangible implementation of cooperation following the 2025 China-Indonesia Industrial Matchmaking Conference.
During the visit, the Sinar Mas delegation toured iFLYTEK's AI Park, Experience Center, Speech Industry Base, and Medical AI Application Scenarios, highly recognizing its full-chain technology and implementation capabilities. iFLYTEK possesses the self-developed Spark Large Model, with smart education products covering over 50,000 schools and 150 million teachers and students in China. Indonesia's education system is vast but faces a teacher shortage of 1.3 million. The two parties will use smart classrooms and AI digital blackboards to enhance teaching efficiency, with related products already piloted at Tzu Chi School in Jakarta and receiving positive feedback.
In the healthcare sector, Indonesia faces challenges of shortage of medical staff and uneven distribution of resources. iFLYTEK's "AI Medical Assistant" has been widely used in China. The two parties will leverage AI to bring quality medical resources to Indonesia's grassroots through clinical decision support and post-consultation management solutions. Cooperation will also extend to telecommunications, finance, energy and other fields. The joint venture will deploy a localized large model to improve resource efficiency and service equity in Indonesia. In the future, the two parties will combine iFLYTEK's technology with Sinar Mas's local advantages to create a benchmark for China-Indonesia technology cooperation.
