To this end, the ministry will adopt multiple strategic measures, including strengthening the implementation of mandatory standards and simplifying industrial certification processes, ensuring that products circulated in the domestic market meet government-mandated quality, safety, and specification requirements. The minister stated that through a faster and more efficient service system, domestic industry competitiveness is expected to significantly improve.
The Head of the Industrial Standards and Industrial Service Policy Agency (BSKJI) stated that the agency and its technical implementing units will align their approaches to support domestic industry development by improving the industrial service ecosystem. She emphasized that strengthening the role of standards service centers and industrial service institutions is crucial for building a service ecosystem that meets business needs, and therefore will continue to promote service diversification to provide broader support for the industrial sector. The Head of the Jakarta Industrial Standards and Service Center (BSPJI) stated that the center is continuously improving service quality, with a focus on accelerating certification processing times.
The original minimum certification processing time was 41 working days, which has now been successfully shortened to 28 working days. The center also prioritizes employee capacity building to ensure more professional and efficient responses to industrial needs. The Jakarta Industrial Standards and Service Center will also strengthen cooperation with other technical units under BSKJI to more comprehensively meet industrial service demands. In the future, standards and certification services will continue to be optimized and upgraded to ensure the healthy development of domestic industries, enhance competitiveness, and effectively prevent substandard imported products from entering the market.
