PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk, through its data center subsidiary PT Telkom Data Ekosistem (NeutraDC), has officially signed a Strategic Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. The collaboration focuses on digital telecommunications strategic business, covering digital infrastructure construction, data center ecosystem strengthening, and exploration of cutting-edge technologies for digital transformation. The signing took place earlier during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, one of the world's largest communication technology events, gathering global industry leaders. Signatories include Telkom Indonesia’s Director of Strategic Business Development and Investment, CEO of NeutraDC Group, and Huawei’s Director. This partnership is a key move for Telkom Indonesia Group to strengthen its digital infrastructure business and achieve technical synergy with Huawei, aiming to build a more reliable and efficient data center ecosystem. Telkom Indonesia’s Director of Strategic Business Development and Investment stated that this cooperation is a critical step for Telkom Indonesia Group to strengthen its digital infrastructure foundation and enhance global competitiveness. Signing the MoU at MWC Barcelona also demonstrates Telkom Indonesia’s determination to transform into a world-class digital telecommunications enterprise. He pointed out that the strategic cooperation with Huawei will enhance the company’s digital infrastructure capabilities, accelerate enterprise-level solution innovation, and ensure talent development keeps pace with Indonesia’s national digital transformation needs. Under the cooperation framework, Telkom Indonesia, NeutraDC, and Huawei will focus on advancing digital infrastructure business, especially data center ecosystem development. When deploying data center resources needed for related businesses, Huawei will prioritize the use of NeutraDC’s existing facilities and explore the possibility of deploying Huawei Cloud availability zones in compliance with regulations. Huawei will also share the latest data center technologies with NeutraDC, including MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) technology, AI-driven architecture and hardware, as well as green and efficient operation solutions, providing technical reference for NeutraDC’s infrastructure upgrade. Currently, NeutraDC operates the hyperscale data center NeutraDC Nxera Batam in Batam, equipped with digital infrastructure capable of supporting AI applications. Located strategically in the Johor-Singapore-Riau Growth Triangle, the data center features an international interconnection ecosystem and global standards, serving regional digital industry needs. NeutraDC Group CEO Andreuw stated that the company will fully serve enterprise customers and hyperscale cloud service providers, supporting the development of next-generation network technologies. He believes that the partnership with Huawei will help NeutraDC build scalable, high-efficiency data centers to meet future AI and cloud computing demands, further enhancing digital ecosystem reliability and global competitiveness.
