China–Southeast Asia Bronze Drums: Indonesia Volume is the fifth volume of the academic series “China–Southeast Asia Bronze Drums.” Co-authored by Chinese and Indonesian scholars, it is presented in Chinese, Indonesian, and English, comprehensively and systematically introducing the research achievements and cultural connotations of Indonesian bronze drums. The book is divided into three parts: “An Overview of Indonesian Bronze Drums,” “Classification and Description of Indonesian Bronze Drums,” and “Modern Bronze Drum Culture in Indonesia.” It provides an in-depth and detailed analysis of Indonesian bronze drums from multiple perspectives, including historical origins, typology, decorative features, and distribution areas. The volume not only systematically compiles information on bronze drums collected by major museums in Indonesia but also includes details of some precious bronze drums from private collections, accompanied by a large number of high-definition images, vividly showcasing the artistic charm and cultural value of Indonesian bronze drums.
