Originally planning to build in West Java, the Governor introduced that Central Java is better prepared and more suitable for the factory. Central Java currently has fewer feed mills but possesses significant agricultural and livestock potential. The Fisheries Department plans to expand local shrimp pond areas, and the region is a center for broiler and layer chicken farming. Moreover, the local investment environment is favorable, with ample land supply, competitive labor costs, simplified approval procedures, and good public security.

PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA), in partnership with China Tianying Inc. (CNTY) and PT Indoplas Energi Hijau, has formed a consortium to invest IDR 2.6 trillion in the construction of the Cipeucang waste-to-energy facility in South Tangerang District, Lampung County, West Java Province. The project is expected to start construction in early 2026. Currently, the only final disposal site in South Tangerang is saturated and cannot meet the growing waste treatment demand. Large amounts of household and other waste have accumulated, and waste transport vehicles must queue for unloading, causing dissatisfaction among local residents. Urgent need for more modern waste treatment facilities.
