GIIAS 2026 (Indonesia International Auto Show), Indonesia's top automotive event, has officially opened. Major automakers will hold concentrated new car launch ceremonies, making it the country's most important annual platform for automotive technology displays and new product releases. This exhibition brings together leading automotive brands from Japan, Europe, the US, Korea, and China, with a total of over a dozen all-new models debuting, covering categories such as pure electric, extended-range hybrid, fuel-powered, and commercial buses, fully showcasing the latest global automotive technology achievements. Major automakers have all made impressive appearances, and the lineup of new cars is exceptionally prestigious. Toyota will introduce two new products, including an all-new off-road-style electric vehicle and a classic legendary SUV model; Changan Automobile will debut its new compact pure electric SUV, the Nevo Q05, featuring a futuristic crossover design; Geely will not only announce the Indonesian price of its new fuel-powered Coolray but will also continue to deepen its presence in the Indonesian market through its Zeekr brand.
Honda brings its first mass-market pure electric model, the Super One, also known as the electric Brio. Unlike the e:N1, which was previously sold exclusively to fleets, this marks the beginning of Honda's new era of consumer-oriented electric vehicles. Domestic new energy brands continue to make strides: iCar introduces the V27, its second off-road-oriented extended-range model; Farizon Auto brings two all-new products, with its premium brand Aletra showcasing its latest concept prototype. American brand Ford introduces the Everest Ultimate Titanium Edition; Hyundai, in turn, unveils four new models at once, with the Ioniq 3 and a seven-seat pure electric MPV as the core highlights.
Additionally, Hino will release a new bus series, enriching its commercial vehicle lineup. In addition to new car debuts, this exhibition will also officially announce the prices of several models, including popular ones such as the BAIC T1, Leapmotor B10, Dongfeng Fengguang E5 Plus, Wuling Aira EV, and Lepas E4. Meanwhile, all-new models like the Venucia Omoda O4 EV will also make their public debut. This GIIAS 2026 is held at the BSD International Convention Center in Tangerang, opening to the public starting July 30 and running until August 9, serving as an important showcase window for the upgrading of Indonesia's automotive industry and the popularization of new energy vehicles in 2026.
