Indonesian Industry Worries About Influx of Chinese Electronics into Indonesian Market

Indonesia is expected to be flooded with imported electronic products from China, following President Prabowo's plan to remove technical regulations in response to US import tariff policies. The Secretary General of the Electronics Industry Association stated that he is not worried about the US import tariff policy, as the volume of electronic exports to the US is not large; what is truly concerning is the influx of products from major producing countries like China into the Indonesian market. This is because Indonesia has a large market of approximately 280 million people, unlike Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Additionally, due to Indonesia's weak non-tariff measures, imported goods can easily enter Indonesia, whereas developed countries' non-tariff measures can

For example, Newcastle April coal price rose to $95.5/ton, and Rotterdam April price rose to $103.65/ton.
