Indonesia Extends Import Safeguard Duty on Ceramic Floor Tiles
The Minister of Finance has decided to continue imposing the Import Safeguard Duty (BMTP) on imported ceramic floor tile products for a period of two years. This policy is introduced considering reports that the domestic industry has suffered severe losses due to increased imports of ceramic floor tiles. This is stipulated in the 2025 Minister of Finance Regulation, whereas the previous 2021 regulation had implemented the policy but the collection period ended in 2024.
