PT Huayue Nickel Cobalt, a subsidiary of Huayou in Indonesia, is a laterite nickel ore processing and refining industrial company in Indonesia. It is the first company to obtain the ISO 37301:2021 certificate through compliance management system audit. This certification was obtained on August 30, 2024, making Huayou the first company in Indonesia's laterite nickel ore processing and refining industry to receive this certification. The audit also evaluated several areas, including corporate governance, export regulations and economic sanctions, anti-bribery and anti-corruption, etc. ISO 37301:2021 is an international standard designed to help organizations establish, implement, maintain, and improve a compliance management system, aiming to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, codes of conduct, and internal policies, and to continuously enhance compliance management capabilities. Obtaining this internationally recognized certification not only marks a new step for Huayou in the field of compliance management but also demonstrates Huayou's commitment to operating in accordance with Indonesian law and improving corporate management standards. Moreover, Huayou has also received the award for one of the largest taxpayer contributors for the 2023 tax year, as well as the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) and ISO 37301:2021 certificates. In addition, Huayou was again awarded by the South Jakarta Tax Office as one of the largest taxpayer contributors for the 2023 tax year.
In 2024, Huayou successfully obtained three recognitions from three different institutions, namely the ISO 37301 compliance management system certificate for its laterite nickel ore smelter, the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) award from the Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker), and the award as one of the largest taxpayer contributors from the South Jakarta Tax Office (DJP). Thus, Huayou received a certificate of appreciation for the Occupational Safety and Health Management System in the base metal processing and smelting industry on August 6, 2024. The evaluation results of the SMK3 external audit implementation for Huayou used the advanced level category (166 criteria) with an evaluation result of 85.54%, valid for 3 years from the date of certificate issuance. This achievement also made Huayou the first company among more than 50 companies in the Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP) to obtain this certification. According to Government Regulation (PP) No. 50 of 2012, the Indonesian Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3) is a government initiative to ensure comprehensive protection of workers in the work environment and to prevent occupational safety and health risks. The Chief Representative of Huayou Indonesia stated that for the three honors obtained by Huayou, the entire staff and management of Huayou Indonesia also expressed gratitude to all parties, thanking all the participating teams and employees for winning three awards in different categories. This certainly will not make Huayou complacent about its achievements, but will instead use it as motivation to continue fulfilling existing commitments.
