The President of KITB stated that this investment will enhance Indonesia's global competitiveness and have a positive impact on the local community, such as creating job opportunities and facilitating technology transfer. PT SSM will invest 200 billion rupiah in Phase II of the KITB industrial zone, utilizing AI automation technology to strengthen the steel supply chain and reduce dependence on imports, with an expected absorption of 790 local workers. PT Xianjian Indonesia (NCH) will expand on an 8.8-hectare plot with a total investment of 700 billion rupiah, expected to absorb 2,000 local workers. The President of NCH stated that this investment is a strategic step to meet market demand.
Additionally, PT Bank Tabungan Negara Indonesia (Persero) has become the fourth commercial tenant of KITB and will open in early 2025. The Branch Manager of BTN stated that they will provide housing financing for employees and support the development of affordable housing, as well as support the growth of the industrial zone by offering banking services. These investments not only enhance Indonesia's global competitiveness but also have a positive impact on the local community through job creation and technology transfer, further solidifying KITB's position as a leading industrial zone in Southeast Asia.
