President Prabowo officially launched the Indonesia National Investment Authority (BPI Danantara) in Jakarta. The event was attended by numerous entrepreneurs, including Chairul Tanjung, a key figure behind CT Corp; Franky Oesman Widjaja, one of the leaders of Sinar Mas Group; tycoon Haji Isam; Anindya Novyan Bakrie of the Bakrie Group; and Garibaldi Thohir (Boy Thohir), President of PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk. If developed successfully, Danantara is expected to surpass Singapore's Government Investment Corporation (GIC) to become one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds. Danantara is projected to manage approximately USD 900 billion in assets, ranking it seventh among global sovereign wealth funds. The market is optimistic about Indonesia's launch of Danantara, believing it will enhance Indonesia's position in the global investment market and attract both domestic and international investors.
