Important progress has been made in the Indonesia Amman Copper Smelting Project, where China Nerin Engineering Co., Ltd. is responsible for related work. The project's first batch of high-purity cathode copper meeting London Metal Exchange Grade A standards has officially been produced, marking the full completion of the copper product production line. The project is designed to process 900,000 tons of copper concentrate annually and produce 220,000 tons of cathode copper per year. It adopts China's independently developed "suspension smelting + suspension converting" (double flash) technology, making it the first full-process copper smelting project to export this technology abroad. By utilizing the characteristics of finely ground materials to enhance smelting, the technology offers advantages such as maturity and stability, reduced furnace lining erosion, long reaction tower life, low flue gas volume, and high SO₂ concentration, and is the mainstream process in pyrometallurgical copper smelting. Core equipment and functional modules are designed and supplied by China Nerin, achieving full-process automatic control. Relevant systems meet international advanced standards, and the advanced equipment has improved the automation level of Indonesia's non-ferrous metals industry. The project lays the foundation for the Amman Group to build a copper industry system, sets a benchmark of "Chinese design + Chinese standards + Chinese manufacturing" in Southeast Asia, achieves green and low-carbon construction goals, and promotes the development of the local copper industry and sustainable resource utilization.
