Sun Yong, Vice Governor of China's Anhui Province, visited East Kalimantan Province, Indonesia again to promote cooperation between the two sides. The Vice Governor of East Kalimantan stated that cooperation with Anhui Province began several years ago, and this visit is a continuation of the previous positive cooperation process, aimed at promoting collaboration in multiple fields to boost economic development and improve people's livelihoods. Anhui enterprises plan to build a pesticide factory locally, which aligns with the cooperative direction advocated by the presidents of Indonesia and China and also helps achieve Indonesia's goal of food self-sufficiency. However, agreements on revenue distribution and land lease issues have not yet been reached, and the local government will finalize them as soon as possible. The two sides will also cooperate in areas such as investment, industry, trade, tourism, education, and research. An exchange program involving 50 students between universities in East Kalimantan and Anhui has been launched, with the possibility of including students from other institutions in the future. He expressed hope that cooperation would be implemented quickly and yield positive results, and he is confident about the collaboration between the two sides. The Chinese side expressed gratitude for the warm reception from East Kalimantan and hopes this meeting marks a good start for multi-field cooperation.
