The Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo) announced auto sales data for April 2025, with wholesale sales reaching only 51,025 units, a decrease of 27.8% from 70,895 units in the previous month, the worst record in the first four months of the year. Among them, passenger vehicles accounted for 40,333 units and commercial vehicles 10,872 units. Cumulative wholesale sales from January to April 2025 were 256,368 units. Toyota topped the list with 16,077 units sold, followed by Daihatsu with 8,884 units and Suzuki with 4,145 units. BYD entered the top five with 3,496 units, and currently only sells electric vehicles in Indonesia. Hyundai sold 1,607 units, ranking ninth, behind Isuzu and Chery. Monthly wholesale sales from January to April 2025 were: January 61,932 units, February 72,336 units, March 70,895 units, April 51,205 units.
