Chinese and Indian Institutions Cooperate to Cultivate New Energy Vehicle Talents

The current automotive market demand is developing rapidly, new energy vehicles (such as electric vehicles and hydrogen vehicles) are attracting attention, and many automotive companies have set up production plants in Indonesia. The Catholic University of Bandung, in order to produce graduates who can directly meet the future needs of the industry, has partnered with the North China Automotive Education Organization to improve the quality of human resources in the automotive field. The president of the university said that the automotive industry needs to cultivate reliable talents for its innovative development. The cooperation with Chinese educational institutions can accelerate the training of talents, solve the current problems faced by educational institutions such as expensive and scarce practical equipment, and the lack of close cooperation between universities and enterprises, so as to prevent Indonesia from lagging behind foreign countries in key areas of automotive. The consultant of the Automotive Education Group, on the other hand, said that ASEAN, including Indonesia, is important in global development, and that Indonesia has a large young population with potential for development. China's BYD has set up a factory in Indonesia, and high quality human resources are the support for the development of the industry. PT Karya Bakti Parahyangan, Director of the Automotive Education Group, said that improving the quality of human resources in the domestic EV industry requires large-scale certification, and that the university will organize discussions among various parties to make students and young people aware of the future needs of the automotive industry. The government and companies should enhance training in new technologies and develop long-term strategies. Students will have the opportunity to travel to China to participate in training, and teachers have previously traveled to China to study vocational training in new energy vehicles. The cooperation is expected to enhance the competence of Indonesian talents in the automotive field through a variety of trainings and promote technology transfer.
