中印合作打造万隆空港产业城项目

The Bandung Airport Industry City (LCT) project in Indonesia became the highlight project with the largest investment scale at the BRICS Innovation Base Industrial Project Matchmaking Meeting held recently in Beijing. The project is developed by Indonesia Wanxinda Group in cooperation with West Java Aerocity Development (PT BlB Aerocity Development), with an initial investment of USD 1.68 billion, and is scheduled to start construction in the second half of 2025. It is planned to cover an area of 26,000 acres and build a comprehensive industrial new city relying on the hub of Bandung Airport. It focuses on food processing, building materials manufacturing, home appliance production, automobile industry and other core areas. Bandung is Indonesia's talent highland and can support the demand for high-end industries. It is a 2-hour drive from Jakarta and only 1 hour from downtown Bandung, which can effectively undertake the eastward shift of Jakarta's manufacturing industry, alleviate the serious congestion and haze problems brought about by the over-concentration of industries in Jakarta, and become the core area for industrial transfer. The project will create more than 1 million jobs at the initial stage, and is expected to provide 5 million jobs in the long term by linking up with the Reybana Metropolitan Area, promoting regional economic and social development. As the largest economy in Southeast Asia, Indonesia has a stable policy environment, rich natural resources and huge market demand, with huge investment potential in manufacturing, infrastructure construction and green energy. Under the framework of the "Belt and Road" initiative, Bandung Airport Industrial City project will become an important engine for China-Indonesia cooperation, providing more opportunities and development space for both sides in the fields of industrial upgrading, technological innovation and talent exchange. Through the Bandung Airport Industrial City (LCT) and other benchmark projects, it demonstrates the deepening cooperation among BRICS countries in the field of industrial collaboration and industry-city integration, providing a new paradigm for industrial upgrading of emerging market countries. on January 1, 2025, Indonesia officially became one of the BRICS partner countries, and the cooperation effect of the BRICS platform will be more significant, promoting the multi-lateral win-win situation and the stability and prosperity of the global economy.
