As of early July 2025, the construction progress of Package 6 of the Patimban Port in Subang Regency, West Java Province, involving PT Wijaya Karya (WIKA), has reached 64.72%. The work focuses on the construction of the terminal area and the sand filling and land reclamation process. The project is part of the National Strategic Project, aimed at supporting the maritime transportation system and improving the efficiency of domestic and international trade. Sediment curtain frame technology is used in dredging operations to reduce environmental impact while improving time and cost efficiency. The project provides employment opportunities for the local community, with approximately 200 local workers actively participating. It is expected to facilitate the circulation of exports and imports, strengthen connectivity between regions, and promote economic growth in Subang and surrounding areas. The project is constructed by the Penta Ocean-Toyo-Rinkai-PP-Wika-Jakon consortium, which includes several domestic and international construction companies. This work will complete the Phase 1-1 work. Upon completion, the total length of the container terminal will reach 840 meters, the total area of the container terminal will reach 40 hectares, and the depth of the navigation channel will reach -14 meters. WIKA President Director stated that Patimban Port is a key node in the national logistics chain, and WIKA is committed to building an efficient modern port by accelerating the construction of Package 6, adding value to the Indonesian economy.
