In 2023, Indonesia's coal production was 775 million tons, a record high at the time; in 2024, coal production reached 836 million tons, not only setting a new record but also exceeding the year's target of 710 million tons by 117%; the 2025 coal production target is set at 735 million tons, lower than the actual production in 2024.
