The Anhui Provincial Government delegation paid an official visit to Indonesia's new capital, Nusantara (IKN), aiming to explore strategic investment opportunities in the infrastructure and real estate sectors. Anhui Province has advantages in the manufacturing sector and has participated in the production of equipment related to the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway (KCIC). The delegation was led by the Deputy Director of Anhui's Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. Real estate was a key focus of discussions, as IKN urgently needs a large number of housing units to meet the needs of civil servants, military/police personnel, and ordinary citizens.
The new capital authority welcomes Anhui's investment, covering housing projects for low to high income groups. Leveraging Anhui's expertise in manufacturing and cement industry technology is expected to accelerate IKN's housing construction and improve efficiency.
The Chinese side expressed its hope to gain in-depth understanding of IKN's potential through this visit and attract suitable Anhui investors to participate in construction. This cooperation is seen as an important step to help IKN realize its vision of becoming a "global city" and sustainable development, strengthening its key position in the global civilization framework.
China's investment in IKN has already reached nearly 70 trillion rupiah, covering multiple sectors including energy and pharmaceuticals. This investment intention from Anhui is a continuation of China's ongoing attention to IKN.
