Chinese automaker JAC Motors has officially entered the Indonesian market, partnering with the Indonesian Indomobil Group for business operations and vehicle production. The two parties have been collaborating since 2023, focusing on developing products suitable for Indonesian consumers and local conditions. Originally planned to enter the Indonesian market last year, the partnership was officially finalized and launched on August 19, 2025.
In its initial phase in Indonesia, JAC Motors will not launch passenger cars but will focus on commercial electric vehicles (EVs). This decision is based on changes in market demand and efficiency, aiming to build a commercial electric vehicle ecosystem.
The initial models and prices launched by the brand are as follows:
• JAC EV N35 C6: IDR 460 million;
• JAC EV N35 C5: IDR 435 million;
• JAC EV N35 C4: IDR 405 million;
• JAC EV N90 LWB: IDR 772 million;
• JAC EV N90 SWB: IDR 755 million;
• JAC EV Double Cabin T9: IDR 780 million.
The three models mentioned above (light pickup JAC EV N35, double-cab pickup JAC Trekker T9, and heavy truck JAC EV N90) have already begun local assembly in Pulogadung, East Jakarta.
