Xiaomi dominates Southeast Asia and Indonesia mobile market in Q2

小米第二季度称霸东南亚与印尼手机市场

Xiaomi overtook all its competitors in Q2 2025 to become the double champion in the Southeast Asia smartphone market (25 million units shipped, down slightly by 1% year-on-year) and Indonesia. This is the first time since Q2 2021 that Xiaomi has regained the No. 1 spot in the region.

Xiaomi shipped 4.7 million units in Southeast Asia, with a market share of 19% (up 8% YoY), and a whopping 21% in Indonesia. thanks to the high popularity of the Redmi series, an extensive distribution network (direct + carrier partnerships), strong growth of the sub-brand Poco (more than doubled shipments), and the notable success of its flagship series, the Xiaomi 15 (YoY growth of 54%).

Transsion (incl. Infinix, Tecno, Itel) ranked second in Southeast Asia with 4.5 million units shipped (18%, up 17% y/y) and second in Indonesia with 20% market share. Growth came mainly from entry-level market strategy; Samsung ranked third in Southeast Asia with 4.3 million units shipped (17%, down 3% y/y), and third in Indonesia with a market share of 18%. 5G models are still in demand in some markets, with strengths in the enterprise market/B2B partnerships and high-end positioning; Oppo and Vivo ranked fourth (3.5 million units and 14%, down 19% YoY) and fifth (2.8M units, 11%, down 21% YoY), with shares of 14% and 13% respectively in Indonesia. both have declined sharply due to increased competition in the entry-level market.
