Indonesia's refractory industry becomes new engine of economic growth

印尼耐火材料产业成为经济增长新引擎

The domestic refractory industry will be a catalyst for the country's industrial growth, supporting President Prabowo's goal of 8% economic growth by 2029, the chairman of the Indonesian Refractories and Insulation Association (ASRINDO) said recently. The industry plays a key role by supporting production processes in basic industries such as cement, glass and ceramics.

At the industry matching meeting held in Bandung, he pointed out that the refractory industry has four major advantages: Just in time supply (Just in time), Just in time delivery (On time delivery), perfect after-sales service (After sales service), as well as to promote the domestic capacity utilization rate from the current 30% to 70-80%. The company's business is to provide the best possible service.

The industry is currently promoting the development of mandatory Indonesian National Standards (SNI) and professional certification of installers to meet global quality standards (ASTM standards). The Director General of the Non-Metallic Mineral Processing Department of the Ministry of Industry chaired the meeting, which was attended by representatives of major industry associations and companies. The industry expansion program will significantly increase the participation of refractories in the thermal production process, contributing directly to the country's industrial output growth.
