PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA), through its subsidiary PT Berkah Kawasan Manyar Sejahtera (BKMS), has transferred 20 hectares of industrial land to PT GEABH Joint Technology, a subsidiary of Sichuan Jinsiang Chemical, located in the Java Integrated Industrial and Port Estate (JIIPE) in Gresik, East Java. The company had previously purchased 20 hectares in April 2025 for initial production facilities.
The additional land will be used for the development of environmentally friendly chemical facilities. GEABH plans to build new chemical facilities to produce melamine, nitric acid, and ammonium nitrate, and is also evaluating facilities to produce ammonia and urea using Indonesian natural gas resources. This will help JIIPE become a competitive industrial zone and promote Indonesia's energy transition and green industrialization. AKRA's President stated that GEABH's expansion supports the company's long-term strategy of making the industrial zone business a major pillar.
In the first three quarters of this year, AKRA's total revenue increased by 13.22% year-on-year, and industrial zone land business revenue grew by 29.39%. JIIPE is committed to providing world-class integrated services and is expected to attract more chemical and downstream industries. The company estimates that after full operation, JIIPE can attract IDR 2,378.6 trillion in investment and create 199,818 jobs. This year's target is to sell 80-100 hectares of land in JIIPE, with 22 hectares completed so far.
