Chinese firms supervise synchronized grid-connected PV projects

The distributed photovoltaic phase I project on OBI Island in Indonesia supervised by Xingdian International has made important progress - the three major areas of wet phase I, thermal phase I and wet phase III of over 22MW distributed photovoltaic synchronously connected to the grid and generated electricity.The project is a model of successful practice of China's engineering supervision model and new energy technology in complex overseas environments, injecting kinetic energy into the upgrading of Indonesia's energy structure.

In the project, Xingdian International established a "full-process, multi-dimensional and strict standard" supervision system, covering the whole life cycle of planning, equipment acceptance, construction control and grid-connection commissioning, etc. In view of the characteristics of simultaneous construction in multiple regions and many cross operations, it formulated a zonal supervision program, and cumulatively issued 20 supervision notices and put forward 76 rectification suggestions to ensure that the construction complied with the specifications and safety standards; it also strictly verified and sampled and tested key equipment such as inverters and prefabricated chambers to ensure that the details were reliable and controlled. After the full capacity of the project is connected to the grid, the green power will be used for industrial operation on OBI Island, which is expected to save 13,000 tons of standard coal and reduce 41,700 tons of carbon (equivalent to planting 38,000 acres of trees) annually, which not only reduces the cost of electricity, but also enhances the stability and cleanliness of the energy supply, and supports the regional industry's green transformation and ecological protection.
