The Lumut Balai Phase II Geothermal Power Plant EPC Project, undertaken by PowerChina, has recently officially obtained the Operation Acceptance Certificate, becoming the first geothermal power plant project successfully handed over by a Chinese enterprise overseas. The project overcame complex geological conditions, with performance test results exceeding contract targets; at the same time, key milestones such as Commercial Operation Date (COD) and 15-day reliability operation were completed on schedule.
The project adopted a full-chain management approach of "Design-Procurement-Construction", achieving zero major safety accidents. The power plant will provide Indonesia with clean energy that reduces CO₂ emissions by approximately 150,000 tons annually, setting a new benchmark for China-Indonesia green energy cooperation. PowerChina will ensure stable operation during the warranty period and deepen its presence in the Southeast Asian new energy market.
