The Director of Processing and Marketing of Plantation Products at the Directorate General of Plantations, Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan), revealed that Indonesia's large red chili stock is at a critically low level, and this situation is expected to continue until September 2024. He stated that this month the stock of large red chili in Indonesia is in a critical position because domestic stock is very low until September this year. Meanwhile, small chili stock is still safe, but shortages will also occur from November to December 2024, due to drought in several areas that are chili production centers, leading to crop failure, and some farmers have even cleared their land.
