PT Polygroup, a multinational manufacturing company headquartered in China, has officially begun construction of its second factory in Indonesia at the industrial estate (KPI) in Sugihmanik Village, Tanggungharjo. A groundbreaking ceremony was recently held locally. The factory covers an area of 20 hectares and will house two subsidiary factories: 5 hectares for PT Harmoni Cahaya Indonesia, which exports to Europe, and 15 hectares for PT Nortex Berkat Indonesia, which exports to the United States. The first phase will construct PT Harmoni Cahaya Indonesia, which is expected to be operational in March 2026. The investment amounts to IDR 3 trillion. The company stated that the factory will absorb at least 6,000 workers once operational. The Chairman of PT Polygroup Indonesia Manufacturing said that this investment is to achieve the export target for the next nine months, planning to ship 7,000 containers of goods overseas, all for export. Choosing Grobogan and Kendal for investment is due to their competitive prices and mutual demand between the company and the local area. Various local parties welcome the factory construction. The Director of PT ALIB Company believes this will create job opportunities for surrounding residents. Local villagers said that the factory will not only absorb labor but also drive the development of small enterprises in the area. He hopes the local government can coordinate relations among all parties to ensure smooth construction.
