On May 13, 2025, marking important milestones such as the 75th anniversary of China-Indonesia diplomatic relations, the China-Indonesia Non-Ferrous Metals Sustainable Development Forum and the First China-Indonesia Nickel-Cobalt Industry Chain Sustainable Development Forum were held in Jakarta. This forum was organized by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, with active support and coordination from the Indonesia China Chamber of Commerce (INAC) and its Mining and Metallurgy Branch. Over 160 representatives from governments and enterprises of both countries attended. The forum opened with remarks by the Deputy Secretary-General of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, with many distinguished guests present. The meeting featured in-depth discussions on topics such as nickel-cobalt resource development, aiming to advance cooperation and sustainable development in the non-ferrous metals sector between the two countries. The forum received an enthusiastic response, with extensive exchanges among Chinese and Indonesian parties. The forum was specially co-organized by China Nonferrous Metal Mining Group Co., Ltd., with several other units co-organizing and hosting. The Indonesia China Chamber of Commerce (INAC) and its Mining and Metallurgy Branch played a key role in the preparation and organization, building bridges for communication and promoting multi-party collaboration. Through this forum, cooperation between China and Indonesia in the non-ferrous metals field deepened, with multiple consensuses reached, laying the foundation for sustainable development. In the future, both sides will work together to elevate cooperation to new heights and contribute to the green transformation of the global non-ferrous metals industry.
