China-India Nonferrous Metals and Nickel and Cobalt Forum in Jakarta

On May 13, 2025, at the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Indonesia and other important nodes, the China-Indonesia Nonferrous Metals Sustainable Development Forum and the First China-Indonesia Nickel and Cobalt Industry ChainForum on Sustainable DevelopmentHeld in Jakarta.The forum was hosted by China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNMIA), with the active support and organization and coordination of Indonesia China Chamber of Commerce General Association and Mining & Metallurgy Branch, and more than 160 representatives from the two countries' governments, enterprises and so on attended the forum. The opening ceremony of the forum was presided over by the deputy secretary-general of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNMIA) and attended by many guests. The meeting centered on nickel and cobalt resource development and other topics to carry out in-depth dialogue, aimed at promoting the two countries in the field of non-ferrous metal cooperation and sustainable development. The forum was warmly received, with extensive exchanges between Chinese and Indian parties. The forum was co-sponsored by China Nonferrous Mining Group Company Limited, and co-organized and undertaken by a number of units. The Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce and its Mining and Metallurgy Branch played a key role in the preparation and organization of the forum, building bridges of communication and promoting multi-party cooperation. Through this forum, China and India have deepened their cooperation in the field of non-ferrous metals and reached a number of consensus, laying the foundation for sustainable development. In the future, both sides will work together to promote cooperation to new heights and contribute to the green transformation of the global non-ferrous metal industry.
