Chinese auto parts companies enter the Indonesian market

PT Multi Medika Internasional Tbk (MMIX)'s sales in 2024 increased by 9.6% from the previous year to reach Rp191.99 billion.Its products, MIUBaby and Miutiss, have been well received by the market for their innovations and have been awarded innovations in the personal care sector such as Indonesia's thinnest baby diaper and the first chlorine-free bamboo paper towel, respectively, which has enhanced the competitiveness of its products in the domestic market.MMIX will build a baby diaper factory in Indonesia in order to improve supply chain efficiency and expand its production scale. The plan stems from a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in early 2025 with NicePaper, a large hygiene products manufacturer in Fujian, China. In addition, the company has already launched MIUBaby extra-large packs and also plans to launch economical flat packs. It also intends to enrich its hygiene product line by partnering with popular IPs (e.g. Tom & Jerry, Coco Melon) to enhance market penetration of its products among young families and children, as well as launching wet wipes products. Since its establishment in 2020, the company has grown rapidly in the Indonesian Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) market, thanks to its innovation, product quality and wide distribution.
