The local immigration office in Surabaya recently carried out repatriation procedures at Juanda International Airport against two Chinese nationals, who were deported for violating the relevant provisions of Indonesia's Immigration Law.Specific provisions relate to the violation of residence permits for foreign nationals, and the entire judicial review process has now been completed.

The director of the local immigration office said that the immigration enforcement operation demonstrates the country's determination to uphold its sovereignty and that they will continue to regulate the stay of foreign nationals in a professional and humane manner.So far this year the agency has accumulated a total of 23 foreigners from 14 countries who have violated the law, the General Directorate of Immigration data show that in the first half of 2025 the number of cases of repatriation implemented nationwide increased by 17% year-on-year.
