China, India partner to develop 2.6 trillion rupiah waste-to-energy project

In September 2025, Indonesia's PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) and China Tianying (CNTY) established a joint venture to develop the South Tanggelang Waste-to-Energy (PLTSa) project.

this projectWith a total investment of 2.65 trillion dong (about $170 million) and an installed capacity of 19.6 MW.A 27-year power purchase agreement has been signed with the Indonesian National Power Company (PLN).

OASA holds 76% through its subsidiary PT Indoplas Energi Hijau and CNTY holds 24%.OASA proposes to raise 63.4 billion rupiah for project development by issuing 634.7 million new shares through private placement. The company's total assets are expected to increase from 7.258 trillion to 7.893 trillion rupiah after the capital increase.
