Indonesia to launch tender for waste-to-energy project to start operations by 2028
Investment manager Danantara plans to launch a public tender in November 2025 for a waste-to-energy (WtE) project aimed at converting municipal waste into electricity through incineration technology (incineration).The program will cover 10 cities in the first batch and will be expanded to 23 cities in the following years, and is expected to be commercially operational in 2028.
