The Minister of Public Works recently announced that 50 National Strategic Project (PSN) road projects will be offered to investors through the Government-Business Partnership (KPBU) scheme. These projects include cross-regional toll roads aimed at promoting the development of the national transportation network. The projects cover multiple provinces, including areas outside Java Island such as Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Bali.
Key projects include the Serang-Panimbang road in Banten, the Pandaan-Malang road in East Java, the Manado-Bitung road in North Sulawesi, and the Balikpapan-Samarinda road in East Kalimantan. The investment mechanism adopts the public-private partnership (3P) model, but not all projects are equally attractive to investors.
The project list has been officially confirmed through Regulation of the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs No. 16 of 2025, signed by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs on September 24, 2025. The government stated that these projects will promote regional connectivity and economic development.
