The Indonesia SEZ Business Forum 2025 was recently held in Jakarta, themed “Driving Inclusive and Sustainable Growth,” aiming to position Indonesia as a key investment destination through cross-sector dialogue among government, park developers, investors, and strategic partners. The forum featured a keynote speech by the Deputy Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry, a welcome address by the Deputy for Energy and Mineral Resources Coordination at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, and an overview of Indonesia's SEZs delivered by the Acting Secretary of the National SEZ Council.
The event was divided into SEZ Outlook 2026, SEZ Business Dialogue, Business Forum, and interview sessions. The SEZ Outlook 2026 session, themed “Transforming Indonesia’s SEZs: Global Competitiveness and 2026 Investment Outlook,” invited representatives from the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia, International Finance Corporation, and the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry as speakers; the Business Dialogue focused on “SEZs as Catalysts for Economic Growth and Sustainable Development,” gathering executives from Unilever, the Indonesian Industrial Estate Secretariat, and Worley Group.
The Business Forum consisted of three sessions, respectively exploring “Green Innovation to Ensure Long-Term Investment Stability,” “Strengthening Regional Trade through SEZ Connectivity,” and “Tapping High-Growth Opportunities in Indonesia’s SEZs,” hosted by experts in various fields; the interview session invited representatives from SEZ tenants such as Gresik, Kendal, Mandalika, and Sanur to share success stories.
Through diverse topics and cross-sector participation, the forum helped enhance the global competitiveness and investment attractiveness of Indonesia's SEZs.
