Indonesia to start collecting coal export duties from Jan. 1

Indonesia's Ministry of Finance has confirmed that export tariffs (BK) will be levied on coal from January 1, 2026, following the policy of export tariffs on gold, but as of now, coal companies have not yet received the relevant technical specifications and calculation formulas.The Minister of Finance previously said that the coal export tariff rate is expected to be in theBetween 1%-5%, and only when the coal price reaches a specific level, to avoid increasing the burden on enterprises when the price is low.
