This visa is a Visit Visa for multiple entries to Indonesia with a maximum stay permit of 60 days per arrival, counted from the date of arrival. This Stay Permit can be extended but cannot be converted into a Limited Stay Permit.

Foreign nationals must have an account at evisa.imigrasi.go.id before applying for a visa. After having an account, foreign nationals can apply for a visa after logging in at evisa.imigrasi.go.id by preparing the electronic documents (file format details) of the Foreign National, including:
- a valid travel document valid for at least 6 months before its expiry date;
- proof of sufficient funds to cover living expenses while in the territory of Indonesia, in the form of bank statements for the last 3 months in the name of the Foreign National or guarantor of at least USD 2000 or its equivalent in other currencies;
- a recent color passport photo (within the last year). Details

Original text：Orang asing harus memiliki akun di evisa.imigrasi.go.id sebelum mengajukan visa. Setelah memiliki akun, orang asing dapat mengajukan visa setelah login di evisa.imigrasi.go.id dengan menyiapkan berkas elektronik (detail format file) Orang Asing antara lain:
- dokumen perjalanan yang sah dan masih berlaku paling singkat 6 bulan sebelum masa berlakunya habis;

- a certificate, invitation, or correspondence from a government agency or private institution explaining the relationship with the Foreign National concerned; or
- a certificate from the husband/wife or parents (Indonesian citizens) explaining the family ties with the Foreign National concerned and the activities of the Foreign National while in Indonesia (accompanied by a family card/similar document).

Other provisions
- Stateless Foreign Nationals and Foreign Nationals holding travel documents (not national passports) in the form of temporary passports, emergency passports, titre du voyage, certificate of identity, laissez passer, or other similar documents must attach a document of Re-entry Permit to the country where the Multiple Visa was applied for, as well as a return/onward ticket to another country (except for crew members of transport vehicles).
- The validity period of the visa is counted from the date of issuance. If not used after that period, the Foreign National must apply for a new visa to be able to enter Indonesia.
- Foreign Nationals with a stay permit from a D1 Visa are prohibited from selling goods or services or receiving compensation, wages, or similar for their work/business from individuals or corporations in Indonesia.
Original text：- Orang Asing tanpa kewarganegaraan dan Orang Asing pemegang dokumen perjalanan (bukan paspor kebangsaan) berupa paspor sementara, paspor darurat, titre du voyage, certificate of identity, laissez passer, atau dokumen sejenis lainnya harus melampirkan dokumen Izin Masuk Kembali ke negara tempat Visa Multipel diajukan serta tiket kembali/tiket terusan ke negara lain (kecuali bagi awak alat angkut).
- Masa berlaku visa terhitung sejak tanggal penerbitan. Jika tidak digunakan setelah jangka waktu tersebut, Orang Asing harus mengajukan visa baru untuk dapat masuk ke Indonesia.
- Orang Asing dengan izin tinggal dari Visa D1 dilarang menjual barang atau jasa atau menerima imbalan, upah, atau sejenisnya atas kerja/usahanya dari perorangan atau korporasi di Indonesia.
