An institutional statement, invitation letter, or correspondence materials are required to explain the relationship with the applicant; the original text also lists a pathway for Indonesian citizen spouses or parents to submit family relationship and activity statements.

This visa allows you to inspect goods at offices, factories, or places of production. Additionally, with this visa, you can travel for tourism and visit friends and family.

This visa is a Visit Visa for multiple entries into Indonesia with a maximum stay permit of 60 days per arrival, calculated from the date of arrival. This Stay Permit can be extended but cannot be converted into a Limited Stay Permit.

Foreign nationals must have an account at evisa.imigrasi.go.id before applying for a visa. After having an account, foreign nationals can apply for a visa after logging in at evisa.imigrasi.go.id by preparing electronic documents (file format details) of the Foreign National, including:
- a valid travel document valid for at least 6 months before its expiration date,
- proof of sufficient funds to cover living expenses during their stay in Indonesian territory, in the form of bank statements for the last 3 months in the name of the Foreign National or guarantor amounting to a minimum of USD 2000 or its equivalent in other currencies,
- a recent color passport photo (taken within the last year). Details

Original text：Orang asing harus memiliki akun di evisa.imigrasi.go.id sebelum mengajukan visa. Setelah memiliki akun, orang asing dapat mengajukan visa setelah login di evisa.imigrasi.go.id dengan menyiapkan berkas elektronik (detail format file) Orang Asing antara lain:
- dokumen perjalanan yang sah dan masih berlaku paling singkat 6 bulan sebelum masa berlakunya habis,
- bukti memiliki biaya hidup selama berada di wilayah Indonesia berupa rekening koran 3 bulan terakhir atas nama Orang Asing atau penjamin sebesar minimal USD2000 atau dalam mata uang lain yang setara jumlahnya,

Special requirements
- a certificate, invitation letter, or correspondence from a government agency or private institution explaining the relationship with the relevant Foreign National; or
- a certificate from the husband/wife or parents (Indonesian citizens) explaining the family ties with the relevant Foreign National and the activities of the Foreign National during their stay in Indonesia (accompanied by a family card/similar document).

Other provisions
- Stateless Foreign Nationals and Foreign Nationals holding travel documents (other than national passports) such as temporary passports, emergency passports, titre du voyage, certificate of identity, laissez passer, or other similar documents must attach a document of Re-entry Permit to the country where the Multiple Visa is applied for, as well as a return ticket/onward ticket to another country (except for crew members of transport vehicles).
- The visa validity period is calculated from the date of issuance. If not used after that period, the Foreign National must apply for a new visa to be able to enter Indonesia.
- Foreign Nationals holding a stay permit from a D2 visa are prohibited from selling goods/services or receiving compensation/wages or similar for their work/business from individuals or corporations in Indonesia.
- Furthermore, stay permit holders are also prohibited from conducting continuous supervision of producer or sales activities
Original text：- Orang Asing tanpa kewarganegaraan dan Orang Asing pemegang dokumen perjalanan (bukan paspor kebangsaan) berupa paspor sementara, paspor darurat, titre du voyage, certificate of identity, laissez passer, atau dokumen sejenis lainnya harus melampirkan dokumen Izin Masuk Kembali ke negara tempat Visa Multipel diajukan serta tiket kembali/tiket terusan ke negara lain (kecuali bagi awak alat angkut).
- Masa berlaku visa terhitung sejak tanggal penerbitan. Jika tidak digunakan setelah jangka waktu tersebut, Orang Asing harus mengajukan visa baru untuk dapat masuk ke Indonesia.
- Orang Asing dengan izin tinggal dari Visa D2 dilarang menjual barang/jasa atau menerima imbalan/upah atau sejenisnya atas kerja/usahanya dari perorangan atau korporasi di Indonesia.
- Selain itu, pemegang izin tinggal juga dilarang melakukan supervisi secara terus menerus dari kegiatan produsen atau penjualan
Proses pengajuan dan pemberian visa
Visa application and issuance process
Visa application at the Directorate General of Immigration:
- examination of the completeness of requirements;
- verification of immigration fee payment in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations;
- profile creation and verification;
- approval;
- visa issuance.
Processing time is five working days after the visa payment is received.
