Xiaopeng delivers first Indonesian-made electric car

Xiaopeng Auto debuted at GIIAS 2025, announcing that Indonesia has become its first country in the world to land localized production, and that the first locally produced Xiaopeng X9 in Indonesia has completed delivery, marking the official opening of Xiaopeng Auto's global localized production strategy.On the stand, innovative technology products such as Xiaopeng X9, G6, flying car and AI humanoid robot IRON were displayed, allowing visitors to experience the full-scene ecosystem of "AI+mobility". The first locally-produced Xiaopeng X9, integrated with world-class intelligence and supercomputing capabilities, is the most technologically advanced car ever manufactured in Indonesia. The vice president of Xiaopeng Automobile said that he wants to welcome the future of electrified and intelligent mobility with Indonesia; the chairman and CEO of Xiaopeng Automobile said in a video message that he hopes to respond quickly to the market demand and bring users a more interesting and futuristic way of mobility. Indonesia is the most populous country in Southeast Asia with the largest electric vehicle market, a large youth population and a strong demand for intelligent and environmentally friendly new energy vehicles. The layout of Xiaopeng in Indonesia covers manufacturing, talent training and product localization and adaptation, introducing leading intelligence and technology to the local area. Accelerating the expansion of the sales and service network, it plans to prioritize the deployment of experience centers in major cities such as Jakarta, Bali and Java, with the goal of covering 70% core city centers and 85% high-density areas by the end of the year. Xiaopeng began its globalization journey in 2020 and has now covered 46 countries and regions around the world, winning the sales title of China's new power brands in 10 countries in Europe, with cumulative deliveries exceeding 800,000 units globally. The localized production in Indonesia marks a new stage in the overseas strategy, and the "manufacturing localization + technology export + branding" will improve the response efficiency in overseas markets and provide global car owners with better driving experience and services.
