Indonesia's Ministry of Industry Organizes Exhibition of Indonesian Specialty Agricultural Products

The Ministry of Industry will organize the Business Matching and Exhibition of Indonesian Specialty Products 2025 on August 5-8, 2025, with 51 exhibitors showcasing specialty products such as coffee, tea, cocoa, milk, fruits, and alcoholic beverages and tobacco.The event is designed to promote cooperation between Indonesian specialty product companies and international businesses to enhance the international reach of their brands and develop under-explored alternative markets. The Deputy Minister of Industry said that in the first quarter of 2025, the food and beverage industry accounted for 41.151 TP3T of Indonesia's non-oil and gas industry GDP, and 7.21 TP3T of the national GDP.Exports amounted to 14.66 billion USD (about 239.95 trillion rupiahs) and imports stood at 4.23 billion USD (about 6,894 trillion rupiahs) in the period of January-April 2025, with a trade surplus of 10.43 billion (about 170 trillion dong).The industry employed 6.27 million people in 2024, a continuous increase from 2023 (5.74 million) and 2022 (5.72 million).Actual investment in the first quarter of 2025 amounted to 22.64 trillion dongs, with 9.03 trillion dongs of foreign investment and 13.6 trillion dongs of domestic investment.
