Sailun Group invested
IDR 4 trillion in
2024 to build the
Indonesia factory, which has officially commenced production in
Demak City, Central Java Province. The Chairman of Sailun Group stated that this production launch will publicly announce the brand's
market strategy, manufacturing strength, and long-term development plan in Indonesia, and emphasized that Sailun Group has always adhered to a
global development strategy.
Since
2022, Sailun has firmly believed that
high-quality products are the cornerstone of brand value. Indonesia is not only an important
local consumer market but also a
strategic hub radiating to the Southeast Asian region, so the group has established a plant here and simultaneously launched market promotion efforts.
It is reported that the
Demak factory is
Sailun Group's 7th production base worldwide. As
the second-largest brand in the Chinese tire market, Sailun currently operates
9 factories across
China, Cambodia, Mexico, Indonesia, and Egypt, with products exported to more than
180 countries and regions globally.
The Director of Passenger and Light Truck Tires / Truck Tires at PT. Sailun Tyre Indonesia introduced that Sailun has achieved leapfrog growth through
ten years of development, with sales rising from
US$296 million in 2008 to
US$4.38 billion in 2022, ranking
tenth among global tire brands and also being
one of the fastest-growing tire brands in the world, with
4 R&D centers.
The Demak factory has a comprehensive capacity layout:
- Annual production capacity of 3.6 million passenger car tires
- Annual production capacity of 600,000 truck tires
- Annual production capacity of 37,000 tons of engineering and mining tires
- Annual production capacity of 1.5 million inner tubes
The factory will be committed to providing global users with
high-quality tire products in all categories covering passenger car tires, commercial vehicle tires, and various special tires. The tire brands produced include
Sailun, Roadx, Blackhawk, and Maxtrek.
In terms of channel layout in the Indonesian market, Sailun has divided the country into
8 sales regions, covering core cities such as
Aceh, Medan, Jakarta, Surabaya, and Makassar, achieving comprehensive coverage of all major areas in Indonesia.
