Important notes
An invitation letter for the competency test issued by a government or private institution is required. Stay cannot be extended; this competency test visa does not equate to a work permit for employment.
Required documents
A valid passport, generally with at least 6 months of remaining validity; check the original text for special travel document requirements.
Recent color passport-size photos, in the format required by the official application system.
Bank statements and proof of living expenses for the applicant or sponsor; the amount and period must be verified against the corresponding visa.

The C18 visa is a Visit Visa for a single entry to Indonesia with an initial stay permit of a maximum of 60 days, calculated from the date of arrival. This Stay Permit can be extended and can be converted into a Limited Stay Permit with the same guarantor.

Visa application
The guarantor (sponsor) must have an account on evisa.imigrasi.go.id before applying for a visa for the Foreigner they sponsor. After having an account, the guarantor can apply for a C18 visa for the Foreigner after logging in to evisa.imigrasi.go.id by preparing the electronic documents (file format details) of the Foreigner, including:
- a valid travel document valid for at least 6 months before its expiration date (for holders of travel documents other than national passports such as emergency passports, identity documents, etc., it must be valid for 12 months);
- proof of sufficient funds to cover living expenses while in the territory of Indonesia, in the form of bank statements for the last 3 months in the name of the Foreigner or the guarantor
- a recent color passport photo (within the last year). Details
Original text：Penjamin (sponsor) harus memiliki akun di evisa.imigrasi.go.id sebelum mengajukan visa bagi Orang Asing yang dia sponsori. Setelah memiliki akun, penjamin dapat mengajukan visa C18 bagi Orang Asing setelah login di evisa.imigrasi.go.id dengan menyiapkan berkas elektronik (detail format file) Orang Asing antara lain:
- dokumen perjalanan yang sah dan masih berlaku paling singkat 6 bulan sebelum masa berlakunya habis, (untuk pemegang dokumen perjalanan selain paspor kebangsaan seperti paspor darurat, dokumen identitas, dll harus berlaku selama 12 bulan);
- bukti memiliki biaya hidup selama berada di wilayah Indonesia berupa rekening koran 3 bulan terakhir atas nama Orang Asing atau penjamin

Other provisions
- Stateless Foreigners and Foreigners holding travel documents (other than national passports) such as temporary passports, emergency passports, titre de voyage, certificate of identity, laissez passer, or other similar documents must attach a document of Re-entry Permit to the country where the Visit Visa was applied for, as well as a return ticket/onward ticket to another country (except for crew members of transport vehicles).
- The visa validity period is 90 days from the date of issuance. If not used after that period, the Foreigner must apply for a new visa to be able to enter Indonesia.
- Please note that the visa validity period differs from the length of stay; please check your visa for information regarding the duration of the stay permit.
- Foreigners holding a stay permit from a C18 visa are prohibited from selling goods or services or receiving compensation, wages, or similar for their work/business from individuals or corporations in Indonesia.
Original text：- Orang Asing tanpa kewarganegaraan dan Orang Asing pemegang dokumen perjalanan (bukan paspor kebangsaan) berupa paspor sementara, paspor darurat, titre du voyage, certificate of identity, laissez passer, atau dokumen sejenis lainnya harus melampirkan dokumen Izin Masuk Kembali ke negara tempat Visa Kunjungan diajukan serta tiket kembali/tiket terusan ke negara lain (kecuali bagi awak alat angkut).
- Masa berlaku visa adalah 90 hari sejak diterbitkan. Jika tidak digunakan setelah jangka waktu tersebut, Orang Asing harus mengajukan visa baru untuk dapat masuk ke Indonesia.
- Harap diperhatikan bahwa masa berlaku visa berbeda dengan masa tinggal, silakan periksa visa Anda untuk informasi tentang lama izin tinggal.
- Orang Asing dengan izin tinggal dari Visa C18 dilarang menjual barang atau jasa atau menerima imbalan, upah, atau sejenisnya atas kerja/usahanya dari perorangan atau korporasi di Indonesia.

Visa application at the Directorate General of Immigration:

- verification of immigration fee payment in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations;
- profile creation and verification;
- approval;
- visa issuance.
Processing time is five working days after the visa payment is received.
